Mr. Bisset was absent for today's class. Nonetheless, we had a very interesting discussion regarding our budgets and how each of our individual budgets differed. I really appreciate that we are doing this as a semester long assignment- already have I realized how much money I spend on a monthly basis, and have realized that I often spend money on things that aren't necessarily urgent or important. We live in a country where affluence and consumerism is pervasive. Because of this, it's important to step back and realize the true value of money- and what's most important in life. 

I'm looking forward to the rest of this semester, and hopefully will further my understanding of personal money management and all that it entails- strategies, tools, and hearing about others' experiences.
