Introduction	The protests for democracy in Hong Kong are still a current event. Protest are taking place in Hong Kong in three main areas: Admiralty, Mongkok, and Causeway Bay. The protests began in late September this year, and are still going on after around two months. The fight for democracy in Hong Kong has been a very controversial topic all over the world.
Soundbite #1 - Ms. Chen 1:29	“The government needs to consider what the people of Hong Kong really need. The people think Hong Kong is their home, and want to protect their country and have their own rights to be able to raise up their voice.” Said Ella Chen, teacher at Singapore American School
Bridge	Ella Chen and Bonnie Lee both support the Hong Kong protests, however they also have differences in opinions. It is clear that many people have different opinions. While some people think that there should be democracy in Hong Kong, others think that since Hong Kong is now technically a part of China, China should be making decisions that have to do with Hong Kong.
Soundbite #2 - Bonnie Lee 7:01	“The protest is making a big change in the democratic movement in Hong Kong. This time the young people are making the changes so it gives us something to really think about.”
Bridge	Bonnie Lee is a resident in Hong Kong, near the border of China; away from the protest areas. However, she has seen these demonstrations take place in person. It was interesting to discover different people’s reaction to the news of the protests when they first received notifications about it. Ella Chen shares her experience when she first heard about Hong Kong’s current conflict.
Soundbite #3: Ella Chen	“The people of Hong Kong are making a big sacrifice. They think that it is the right time to do this, but I was still a little bit shocked when I heard the news. Normally, asian people do not protest often, so this was quite interesting yet shocking for me to hear.”
Stand up	As the Umbrella Revolution continues, we can only wait patiently. It is uncertain when they will end, but for now we are able to have our own opinions about the controversial topic. Hopefully we will find out what the outcome is soon.
