Tableau Fairy Tale Reflection

1.They say that words make up less than 1/3 of the message in a conversation. What do you think the other 2/3 of the message is made up of?

- I think that the other 2/3 is made of body language and facial expressions, because the way you present yourself in a conversation can completely change the meaning of what you say.

2. How has working with tableau made you a better communicator?

- It has made me a better communicator by teaching me how you can change the way the things I say in a conversation.

3. Why is it important to be aware of proximity and levels as an actor?

- It is important because it has to look like you are all in the same picture, not different people in their own pictures, for example, if you are doing a tableau, you have to make it look like you are all together in one picture and it has to look like you are completing an action.

4. In tableau we say that a comfortable position is a boring position. Why is it important to think of the audience’s point of view?

- If you are in the audience, you would want to see interesting, fun things, not boring things. You want to keep the audience entertained, so the more uncomfortable, the more entertaining it might be for the audience.

5. How does tableau teach you important concepts such as risk taking, trust and cooperation?
- Tableau teaches us these concepts by learning how to trust each other to complete their given tasks correctly, and gives you the opportunity to take risks such as uncomfortable poses for tableaus.
